Takao Tea is a neighborhood tea shop in Olathe, Kansas, serving handcrafted boba and freshly brewed teas. We source quality tea leaves directly from Taiwan and prepare our drinks with care, letting the flavors of the tea, fruit, and other ingredients shine.

We make our syrups in-house, freshly squeeze our fruit juices, and sweeten our drinks with cane sugar. Our taro drinks feature real taro paste and pieces, never taro powder. From rich Hong Kong Style Milk Tea to slow-cooked Pineapple Tea, our menu brings together flavors we love and traditions we’re proud to share.

Our connection to the community extends beyond the drinks. We work with local makers and host pop-ups that bring creativity, conversation, and new faces into the shop. For us, boba is more than a drink. It’s about sharing something real with our community here in KC.
